Bryan's First Confession

Bryan's First Confession was on 24 June 2012 at St Peter's Church Padungan.  

He will receive his first Holy Communion on 26 August 2012 during Sunday morning mass at St Peter's Church Padungan.

SK St Joseph's Sports Day

14 May 2009 ~ St Joseph Primary School Sports Day was held at Padang Jubilee. My husband and I brought our chubby son to support the event. This was also his first experience of sports day. However, he did not take part in any of the games.

My husband assisted to raise the flag. I wonder how he felt at that moment. Reminiscing the times when he was a student? I suppose it never occured to him that he will one day raise the school flag after leaving school.

Chubby boy was waiting anxiously for the games to start.

The singing of the national and state anthem and the school song, Sons of St Joseph. It has been 15 long years since I last sang that song.

The boy scout march pass. My husband was a formerly a scout. So, while watching the "not so" perfect marching, I suggested he go back and teach the boys how to march.

These were the young doctors (Doktor Muda) marching pass the grand stand. Wow, very impressive and I am really surprised that at that young age, they were expose and prepared for the life of a doctor.

Finally, the athletes representing their teams - Rumah Sukan. The teams are all named after the football clubs - Manchester, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

A while after the games began, it started to drizzle and then came rain. Anyway, everyone was too excited and the weather did not bother them at all. It was really a fun day for the boys!

I look forward to next year's sports day and hopefully, my chubby son will be on the field and not a spectator.

Mind map

Introduced the concept of mind mapping to Bryan. We did revision for Bahasa Melayu on Penjodoh Bilangan. First mind map showed the categories of penjodoh bilangan in pictures and the second mind map is a reinforcement exercise. Indeed, very interesting way of learning. ^_^

1st Day of School

5 Jan 2009 ~ My son started Primary 1 (Manchester) today in St Joseph's Primary School. The excited little boy woke up promptly at 6am to get ready for school. Being a mum, I was feeling glad that my son was looking forward to school and at the same time, feel a bit sad that he's growing too fast. Seems like he's still a chubby little baby boy. Cannot believe how time flies! I was very worried that he may have problem adjusting to new environment. Fortunately, he was coping well for his first day. He was delighted to meet two of his friends from pre-school in the same class. I was prepared to stay in the school throughout the session today but the "Guru Besar" made an announcement that the school gates would be locked at 8am sharp and the children are in good hands. So, I got the hint and went off after waving goodbye and blowing a bye-kiss to my chubby boy.

Well, this is just the beginning. I have many more adventures and worries to go through in days, weeks, months and years to come.
