My Little Angel

As the clock hits midnight, my little girl turns 8. A charming little girl who is eagerly looking forward to her birthday and expects surprises too.

I thank God for giving me this little angel. She fills my life with so much love. May the Lord continue to bless her with good health and joy. May the Lord walks with her daily and protect her all the way. May the Lord guide her all the days of her journey here on earth.

Happy Mommy's Day

10 May ~ Today is Mothers' Day. I have my fair share of hugs and kisses and wonderful gifts made by my two little ones. The photo above shows lollipop flower (left) made by Angel in school while the tulip lollipop is made by Bryan at home.

These 2 pages of pictures are drawn by both Bryan and Angel. A masterpiece in the eyes of a mummy. ^_^

Also, in church today, a Malaysian missionary priest working in Kenya gave a wonderful blessings to all mothers at the morning mass.

May all Mothers in the world receive His Blessings from above on this special day.

A wonderful news!

22 Dec 2008 ~ Today I receive wonderful news. Angel's echo-cardiograph scan is scheduled for today and after the doctor listened to her heart beat, he said that she's already perfectly normal. Thus, the scan is not required at all. Praise the Lord, Alleluia!

A bit of history.. Angel is born with her heart not fully developed. It was detected when she was one month old. The doctor heard a murmur in her heart from the stethoscope and advised that she went for a echo-cardiograph scan. Without much information on hand, we immediately sent her to the best available specialist. She had her first heart scanning when she was 1 month 4 days old. The diagnosis was Branch Pulmonary Artery Stenosis. In general, it means the valve does not close tightly and therefore, the blood that flows to her heart from her lungs will flow out again, producing the murmur. In addition, the pulmonary artery which brings blood to her lung is a bit narrow and hence, the flow is not smooth.

There is no medication as this is all part of development. She went for a follow-up scan when she was 7 month old, 1 year 4 months old and 2 years and 4 months old to keep track of the development of her heart. Today is supposedly her last scanning to confirm that her heart is fully developed. After checking and some questioning, the specialist doctor said she need not go for another scanning. What a relief when I heard what he said!

This piece of news is the best Christmas present from above for me and Angel.

Angelia - How fast she has grown!

I was scanning through some old photos. Just cannot believe that our little Angel has grown so fast! I just miss the feeling of having a little baby. The baby smell, the smiles, the first step... Somehow, all I can remember are the beautiful side of the journey that I have went through. That's the joy of motherhood.

As a working mum, I am doing my best to spend as much quality time as possible with my children. For me, it is very important to guide them to develop good attitude and character in life, not forgetting faith as well as ensure that they will have good childhood memories to treasure.
