After the miraculous conversion, Therese received a message to bring souls (sinners) to Jesus. A picture showing a pierced and bleeding hand of Jesus revealed to her that she was to stand at the foot of the cross to receive the precious blood and give it to souls.
It is recorded in The Story of a Soul (pg 51), "From that day the cry of my dying Saviour - 'I thirst!' - sounded incessantly in my heart, and kindled therein a burning zeal hitherto unknown to me. My one desire was to give my Beloved to drink; I felt myself consumed with thirst for souls, and I longed at any cost to snatch sinners from the everlasting flames of hell."
Therese's first spiritual child was Pranzini, a notorious murderer who was the talk of the town at the time. He was to be sentenced to death for several murders and has yet to repent.
Therese's prayed for his repentance saying, "My God, I am quite sure that Thou wilt pardon this unhappy Pranzini. I should think so if he did not confess his sins or give any sign of sorrow, because I have such confidence in Thy unbounded Mercy; but this is my first sinner, and therefore I beg for just a sign of repentance to reassure me."
Indeed, her prayer again was answered as the newspaper reported a day after the execution that "Pranzini had mounted the scaffold without confessing or receive absolution, and the executioners were already dragging him towards the fatal block, when all at once, apparently in answer to a sudden inspiration, he (Pranzini) turned round, seized the crucifix which the Priest was offering to him, and kissed Our Lord's Sacred Wounds three times."
What a beautiful answer! After receiving this grace, Therese's thirst for the salvation of souls grew more and more.

Therese - the miraculous transformation
Therese has a strong desire to give herself to the Lord but she often failed by her own actions and imperfections. She is sensitive and emotional and will burst into tears at every small little things that come her way.
Therese was asking for a small miracle, one that would make her strong to pursue her dreams to be a Carmelite nun. Her prayers were heard and on Christmas Day, 1886, God revealed to her
"On that blessed night the sweet infant Jesus, scarce an hour old, filled the darkness of my soul with floods of light. By becoming weak and little, for love of me, He made me strong and brave; He put His own weapons into my hands, so that I may went from victory to victory, beginning if I may say so, 'to run as a giant'. The fountain of my tears was dried up, and from that time they flowed neither easily nor often." ~ The Story of a Soul (Chapter 5: Vocation of Therese)
From that moment on, she has re-gained her strength of mind, her self-esteem which she has lost at the age of 4 and half.

Morning Offering Prayer
O Jesus, Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with all the Masses said throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all our associates, for those who will die this day, for the holy souls in purgatory, and in particular, for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

Poem - Cranky Old Man
Extracted this from Google+ #Poem, just for sharing.
Each one of us brings with us vast experiences in life... each is unique and special.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
When an old man died in the geriatric ward of a nursing home in an Australian country town, it was believed that he had nothing left of any value.
Later, when the nurses were going through his meager possessions, They found this poem. Its quality and content so impressed the staff that copies were made and distributed to every nurse in the hospital.
One nurse took her copy to Melbourne. The old man's sole bequest to posterity has since appeared in the Christmas editions of magazines around the country and appearing in mags for Mental Health. A slide presentation has also been made based on his simple, but eloquent, poem.
And this old man, with nothing left to give to the world, is now the author of this 'anonymous' poem winging across the Internet.
Cranky Old Man
What do you see nurses? . . .. . .What do you see?
What are you thinking .. . when you're looking at me?
A cranky old man, . . . . . .not very wise,
Uncertain of habit .. . . . . . . .. with faraway eyes?
Who dribbles his food .. . ... . . and makes no reply.
When you say in a loud voice . .'I do wish you'd try!'
Who seems not to notice . . .the things that you do.
And forever is losing . . . . . .. . . A sock or shoe?
Who, resisting or not . . . ... lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding . . . .The long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking?. .Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse .you're not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am . . . . .. As I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding, .. . . . as I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of Ten . .with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters .. . . .. . who love one another
A young boy of Sixteen . . . .. with wings on his feet
Dreaming that soon now . . .. . . a lover he'll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty . . . ..my heart gives a leap.
Remembering, the vows .. .. .that I promised to keep.
At Twenty-Five, now . . . . .I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide . . . And a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty . .. . . . . My young now grown fast,
Bound to each other . . .. With ties that should last.
At Forty, my young sons .. .have grown and are gone,
But my woman is beside me . . to see I don't mourn.
At Fifty, once more, .. ...Babies play 'round my knee,
Again, we know children . . . . My loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me . . . . My wife is now dead.
I look at the future ... . . . . I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing .. . . young of their own.
And I think of the years . . . And the love that I've known.
I'm now an old man . . . . . . .. and nature is cruel.
It's jest to make old age . . . . . . . look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles .. .. . grace and vigour, depart.
There is now a stone . . . where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass . A young man still dwells,
And now and again . . . . . my battered heart swells
I remember the joys . . . . .. . I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and living . . . . . . . life over again.
I think of the years, all too few . . .. gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact . . . that nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people .. . . . .. . . open and see.
Not a cranky old man .
Look closer . . . . see .. .. . .. .... . ME!!
Remember this poem when you next meet an older person who you might brush aside without looking at the young soul within. We will all, one day, be there, too!

A Personal Experience: The Lost Sheep
Once upon a time, there was a faithful sheep who believed in the power of prayers. One of his favourite prayers is the Prayer to St Jude. He had encouraged and given hope to many around him by sharing the power of fervent prayers. He had touched the hearts of many through his faith and kindness.
Sadly, this sheep had gone astray as the journey of life took him to achieve his goals in life. He had many successes and achieved great heights in his career. Along the way, he had put the Lord aside while he enjoyed the successes and the luxury of life.
One day, he fell ill ... very ill. All medications did not seem to be able to cure this illness. Family members, friends from near and afar were sadden by the news of his illness.
Many visited him. Many prayed for him. Prayers to heal him, prayers for him to look to Jesus for cure, prayers, prayers and prayers. Through fervent prayers to the Divine Mercy and petitions sent to Jesus by relatives and friends, the lost sheep showed signs of recovery and peace within.
He asked about the Divine Mercy prayer and was taught the prayer. A kind Samaritan had sent a priest to visit him. Alas, the lost sheep has found his way home.
Through the Work of the Almighty, many angels were sent to watch over him and to protect him.
As a witness of this wonderful miracle and personal experience, I strongly believe that with GOD nothing is impossible. One just need to have FAITH in Him.
JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU!
